Baby's First Tooth!

Carson woke up on Friday, March 13th with a brand new tooth! He had been up a few times the night before and was NOT a happy camper! When I felt in his mouth Friday morning, sure enough there it was! A sharp, little white sliver of a tooth!

I was so surprised that he got his first one so early, since big sister waited until she was 11 months old to pop one through! Now we just have to hope that he doesn't start biting mom!

Such a Sweet Sound...

I am amazed everyday how grown up Camryn has become. She started her first year in Sunday School at church last fall, and loves it. Whenever we drive by the church, she exclaims, "Mom! It's my school!" She's also taken to singing the songs she's learned there.

Today her and her fellow "classmates" sang a couple songs at the start of church. So adorable!

Naughty Girl!

So, yesterday I let Camryn and one of her daycare friends go play in her room at naptime. They are usually so well-behaved, and besides, I didn't really want them waking up the other nappers. Off they went and they were playing pretty uneventfully until I heard the bathroom door open/close one too many times. Off I go to check it out.....

Imagine my surprise when I hit the bottom of the steps and see two crazy-haired girls looking back at me! "We were pretending, Cassie!" they exclaimed. "What, exactly were you pretending?" was my response. They proceded to tell me all about how they were playing beauty salon and that they washed their hair with 'the stuff in the flower bottle'. Yeah, that would be my lotion.

I tried to hide my amusement in this scenario as I got them cleaned up and back downstairs. Needless to say, they won't be playing out of my eyesight anytime soon.

Baby Blues

You know, my kids are the number one contributor to my stress. But they are also the number one contributor to my stress relief! Make sense? Probably not!

What I mean is this. As much as I want to stick my baby boy at the end of my driveway with a 'Free' sticker stuck to his forehead, he always manages to make me smile! I just take one look at his baby blues and all my worries just melt away....

Big Boy Bathtime!

Carson took his first bath with his big boy bath seat! He LOVED it! And it was much easier than dealing with a slippery baby in the bottom of the bathtub. Big sister, of course, had to jump in with him, but that just made it even more fun!

I can't believe how big my little guy is getting!

Such a Goofy Girl...

Camryn can be such a clown sometimes! Just last night she put on my snowmobile boots and was posing for pictures. "I want to take 5 pictures, Mom!" Everything is 5. Last weekend we spent the weekend at Craig's mom & dad's in McGregor, MN. I told her we were going to be staying 2 nights. She promptly started crying and said she did not want to stay 2 nights. When I asked why she said (while sobbing), "Because I want to stay 5 nights!" Such a silly girl!

Here are her 5 pictures...

50 Years & Going Strong

We celebrated my grandparent's 50th Anniversary on Sunday. Everything went without a hitch, and a great time was had by all. They were so appreciative of everything we had done to make the party a success.

It did get me thinking, though, about how long 50 years really is. Looking at it now, it seems as though 50 years is an eternity away! Although, I'm sure 50 years from now, I won't be saying that. I guess that's why they say to not even blink because things go so fast. I already see the meaning in that saying with my own kids. It seems not that long ago that Camryn had first entered our lives. Now she is 3 years old (going on 15) and we have our baby boy to complete our family, too.

Craig and I only have 46 years left until we can celebrate our own 50th Anniversary. It'll be here before we know it...
